Willis Acquires Software Provider

NU Online News Service, Jan. 2, 10:24 a.m. EST?Insurance broker Willis Group Holdings in London announced the asset acquisition of Sunaro Inc., a subsidiary of the financial services technology company Cyberstarts, based in Atlanta.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Sunaro is a technology solution provider delivering Web-based employee benefits communication, enrollment and administration services.

Willis said Sunaro's software solutions are aimed at providing "fast, inexpensive and simple" human resource and benefit administration services over the Internet for human resource professionals and employees in mid-size companies.

Joe Plumeri, chairman and chief executive officer for Willis, said in a statement that the acquisition represents the firm's commitment to growing its employee benefits practice group.

Cyberstarts said it would now concentrate its efforts on its profitable financial service technology.
