InsureZone Tops 2,500 Agents
NU Online News Service, Jan. 9, 1:52 p.m. EST?InsureZone said at the end of 2002 it had tripled the number of agents using its Web-based wholesale agency to purchase small commercial insurance.
InsureZone, a subsidiary of Ft. Worth, Texas-based insurance broker Higgenbotham and Associates, announced that more than 2,500 agents across the United States were approved to submit business through its "MarketSecure" technology program.
Since its inception in Oct. 2001, InsureZone said it has quoted nearly $33 million in small commercial premium.
"We've built a strong, scalable platform with all the flexibility and functionality to deliver fast, accurate quotes on small commercial insurance," said J. Russell "Rusty" Reid, InsureZone's president and chief executive officer, in a statement.
Mr. Reid said the results bode well for the future, and "with each passing month, more and more agents study the small commercial options available to them and then decide to align with us."
The agency said there are more than 1,900 small-business classes available at the site covering business owners policy, workers' compensation, commercial auto and umbrella liability. Quotes and binding can be obtained often in one day, from one of eight standard carriers. D&O, builders' risk, E&O, EPLI and bonds are also available.
