Agent Survey: SEMCI In Two Years?
In each issue of Agency Technology on the Cutting Edge, well offer agents and brokers the opportunity to express themselves on an important issue within agency technology. This months question concerns SEMCI.
Single entry multiple company interface has been the so-called Holy Grail of agency technology for more than 20 years, but despite obvious advances in technology, it has yet to become reality. Some agents remain hopeful that sometime soon agents will be able to input customer data once and send it to multiple carriers for quotes. Others are tired of the same old promises and stalling tactics, and of the continued use of proprietary systems by carriers.
Q. Are you optimistic that true SEMCI interaction will become common within the industry in the next two years?
To answer, just send an e-mail to our editors at atrembly@nuco.com or mruquet@nuco.com. In the subject header, specify "SEMCI," and in the body of the message, indicate "yes" or "no." Feel free to add your comments as well.
Last months question: Do you think the ASP model makes sense for your agency?
