Brown & Brown Acquires Oklahoma Agency
NU Online News Service, Dec. 23, 1:15 p.m. EST--Brown & Brown Inc., the insurance broker based in Daytona Beach, Fla., announced the acquisition of LaGere & Walkingstick Insurance Agency Inc., of Chandler, Okla.
The agency, with annual revenues of approximately $3 million, is a commercial property-casualty insurance agency with emphasis on servicing the trucking industry and nursing homes, the insurance broker said.
The agency will be a freestanding Brown operation and will relocate to the Oklahoma City area.
The existing staff will continue to serve its customers with Malinda Laird as manager. The office will be under the direction of William D. "Bill" Evans, executive vice president in charge of the firm?s Pryor, Okla., operation.
