Alliant Acquires Calif. Broker
NU Online News Service, Dec. 26, 1:30 p.m. EST–Stamford, Conn.-based insurance broker Alliant Resources Group Inc. has announced the acquisition of Austin, Cooper & Price Insurance Agency Inc.
Founded in 1929, ACP is based in the San Bernardino and Riverside, Calif. area. The agency estimated that for 2002 it would post $12 million in revenues through its property, liability, workers' compensation and health insurance products, largely in the small- to medium-size commercial business, Alliant said.
The agency also provides risk management and consulting services.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ACP will continue as an independent agency reporting to the existing management staff.
Alliant said its estimated 2002 revenues would be in excess of $100 million. The broker offers standard property-casualty and specialty lines, life insurance, employee benefits and third-party administration, as well as risk management, deferred compensation, and other financial services programs for middle-market commercial accounts.
