PIANY Installs New President
NU Online News Service, Sept. 16, 2:46 p.m. EST? The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State has announced the installation of David Isenberg as new president.
Mr. Isenberg is president of D.C. White Agency, a member of the Lancer Financial Group, in Long Beach, N.Y. He was formally named to the post during the Glenmont, N.Y.-based association's annual business meeting earlier this month.
In a statement, he said the association must continue support of insurance legislative issues that best serve the public, especially in the areas of market constriction and automobile insurance.
The lack of federal terrorism insurance, he noted, has created capacity problems not only in New York City, but also Chicago and "other major cities."
Mr. Isenberg said the New York legislature must do more to develop anti-fraud measures, and he commented that the bills the legislature passed this year would not result in cost savings to consumers.
He also urged members to take an active role in the coming year in legislative issues and association activities.
