Partridge Named S&P Head Ins. Sect. Analysis Grp.

NU Online News Service, Aug. 9, 4:10 p.m. EST? Standard & Poor's announced today that Robert Partridge has been named head of its Insurance Sector Analysis Group in New York.
Mr. Partridge, a nine-year veteran of Standard & Poor's Ratings Services, most recently headed the insurance group's Analytic Support Unit, the company said.
Mr. Partridge reports to Steven Dreyer, practice leader for the firm's North America Insurance Group. Mr. Partridge replaces Donald Watson, who recently left Standard & Poor's to take a position at ACE Ltd.
According to S&P, Mr. Partridge leads a group of analysts responsible for sector analysis of health plans, life insurers, property-casualty insurers, mortgage insurers, and reinsurers.
Jake Schlanger, most recently head of Knowledge Management at Standard & Poor's Corporate and Government Services Group, has been named to replace Mr. Partridge. His group is responsible for ratings on mid-sized and smaller insurers, surveillance management, data management, and all analytic support functions for the U.S. insurance group, S&P said.
Prior to his Knowledge Management role, Mr. Schlanger was Chief Quality Officer for Standard & Poor's insurance ratings practice. Mr. Schlanger has been with Standard & Poor's for more than 20 years.
