AmCOMP Picks Plante For CFO
NU Online News Service, Aug. 27, 9:59 a.m. EST?AmCOMP Inc., the workers' compensation insurer based in North Palm Beach, Fla., said it has named Dennis F. Plante as chief financial officer.
Mr. Plante will fill a post left vacant by the retirement of Donald L. Johnson, the company said.
AmCOMP said Mr. Plante has more than 30 years of financial and accounting experience with large and small companies including a stint as senior vice president and controller of CNA Global Specialty Lines.
The insurer writes business in 11 states throughout the Southeast, Midwest, MidAtlantic, and Texas. AmCOMP said it has assets in excess of $425 million, and premiums exceed $200 million this year.
