ACORD Launches New Web Site
NU Online News Service, Aug. 28, 12:57 p.m. EST?ACORD announced the launch today of its redesigned Web site (www.acord.org), which will allow for easier downloads of ACORD forms and standards by its members, the company said.
Information about the organization's initiatives to develop standards for all lines of business has been updated, and there are new pages dedicated to industry events and news, said Pearl River, N.Y.-based ACORD.
The new site features user-friendly navigation that provides streamlined access to fully updated content, ACORD noted. Access to ACORD forms, standards downloads and the Benchmark Calculator has been made easier by a single sign-in process. This process will recognize the visitor's password and will open areas of the site that pertain to that specific member, without requiring him or her to sign in again, the company explained.
ACORD added that case studies, regularly updated information on ACORD standards and global initiatives, and information about the company's events and staff is open to the public.
Another new feature is ACORD TV. Open to the public, ACORD TV provides streaming videos on various issues relating to standards and technology in the industry today, said ACORD.
Due to increased security measures implemented in the framework of the new Web site, ACORD said that members will need to re-register for a new username and password on the homepage of the site.
