One Beacon, Safelite Glass Claims Deal

NU Online News Service, July 19, 10:05 a.m. EST - Safelite AutoGlass, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with OneBeacon Insurance Group, Boston, Mass.
Safelite said it would provide auto glass and claims management services for OneBeacon's policyholders.
A spokeswoman for OneBeacon said terms of the agreement were not released.
Under the agreement, Safelite would act as the claims administrator for OneBeacon's auto glass program, OneBeacon Auto Glass Center, including the filing of initial loss claims, verification of coverage and deductibles, scheduling service appointments, and processing auto glass claims invoices. In addition, Safelite associates would offer auto glass repair and replacement services to OneBeacon policyholders through its retail operation. This would include repair by a Safelite mobile unit or in-shop service at a glass shop of the policyholder's choosing.
Safelite said it would administer all automotive glass claims for OneBeacon's policyholders, regardless of what glass company actually performs the work.
Safelite said it administers programs for more than 80 national and regional insurance carriers nationwide.
