Brown & Brown Acquires Ga. Agency
NU Online News Service, July 12, 11:06 a.m. EST?Insurance broker Brown & Brown, Inc. announced the acquisition of Cooper, Brown & Currie, Inc., of Rome, Ga., an independent insurance agency.
Terms of the transaction were not announced. Brown & Brown is based in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Cooper, Brown & Currie was founded 75 years ago and serves clients in northwestern Georgia. The agency focuses on providing general lines of insurance for businesses and individuals. Frank A. Brown Jr., president of the agency, and his staff will continue to operate in Rome.
