N.Y. IIAA To Hold 120th Annual Meeting
NU Online News Service, May 9, 11:28 a.m. EST?The Independent Insurance Agents Association of New York announced its 120th annual meeting and leadership conference will be held May 16 and 17 in Rochester, N.Y. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The theme of this year's meeting will be "Ensuring the Success of Local Associations, One Relationship at a Time," the Syracuse, N.Y.-based association said.
Peter van Aartrijk, managing director of The van Aartrijk Group, LLC, based in Springfield, Va., will be the keynote speaker. For 18 years, he has worked in various communications roles for major insurance organizations and has developed a wide range of experience in many aspects of the industry.
Mr. van Aartrijk has appeared on CNN, CNBC and Fox News, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, USA Today, Kiplinger's and other national press, discussing insurance issues. Currently, Mr. van Aartrijk's firm is developing an educational curriculum on brand marketing that will be presented later this year to IIAANY members.
