Insure Vision, AMS Integrate A Product

NU Online News Service, May 7, 1:43 p.m. EST?Insure Vision Technologies is teaming one of their products up with a software management product of AMS Services Inc.
The companies said they were integrating Insure's SurePath Network with AMS' Sagitta Browser. SurePath Network is a Web-based bond processing service for agencies, their clients, underwriters and obligees.
An AMS spokesperson said it had received compensation from IVT, but would not release any specifics.
The integration is currently being piloted at several agencies and is being demonstrated at the 2002 NASBP conference, the announcement said. The product is expected to be ready for general release by late second quarter.
According to Insure Vision and AMS, the Sagitta integration will save "considerable" time and money for SurePath users. After processing bonds in SurePath, the user pulls the transactions into Sagitta, where the agent can invoice the bonds, without duplication of data entry.
Using the SurePath Software Development Kit, Windsor, Conn.-based AMS said it designed a procedure to import data from SurePath into the Sagitta Browser database. The integration is based on XML, an open industry standard for exchanging data between companies.
Bob Aitken, senior sales representative of AMS, said: "One of the strengths of Sagitta is its ability to be customized, an attractive feature to agents that write a significant amount of bond business and other specialty lines. We currently have the IVT integration in three agencies?all helping us fine tune the process."
