AIG Appoints International P-C Heads

NU Online News Service, May 13, 11:14 EST?Nicholas C. Walsh, a vice president with the American International Group, has been named president and chief executive officer of American International Underwriters, it was announced.

The New York City-based insurer said Mr. Walsh, as head of its international property-casualty subsidiary, will report to Martin J. Sullivan, AIG co-COO and AIU chairman.

Kevin Hogan, president of AIG's Worldwide Accident and Health Division, was named AIU's COO.

Hamilton C. Da Silva, AIG vice president, foreign general insurance, and CEO of the AIG Latin American Region, was given full responsibility for all AIG's operations in the region.

Gustavo Covacevich was named deputy CEO, AIG Latin American Region. Daniel Glaser was named AIU regional president, U.K./Ireland Division, and managing director of AIG Europe (U.K.) Ltd.

Mark Willis will succeed Mr. Glaser, who was executive vice president of AIG's domestic brokerage group.
