ACE USA Enters Medical Risk Market
NU Online News Service, Apr. 15, 12:48 p.m. EST--ACE USA announced last week that it is entering the medical professional liability market on a selected basis.
The Philadelphia-based company is setting up a new division of ACE USA Professional Risk, which will be called ACE Medical Risk. The Medical Risk division will be based in New York City and will be led by Ross Bertossi.
Prior to joining ACE USA, Mr. Bertossi was a senior vice president with CNA HealthPro, where his responsibilities included overseeing the nationwide operations of the Open Brokerage Medical Malpractice Group. This included hospitals, physicians, miscellaneous medical facilities and product liability for advanced medical technology.
In addition to appointing Mr. Bertossi as senior vice president, ACE USA has appointed of Caroline James as vice president and Annick Ducasse as assistant vice president.
The team will develop risk management solutions for the medical professional marketplace.
ACE USA is the U.S.-based operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, headed by ACE Limited in Bermuda.
