VCIA Conference Offers 19 Seminars
NU Online News Service, March 13, 2:41 p.m. EST?The changing nature of captive insurance will be examined during 19 educational seminars at the Vermont Captive Insurance Association's annual conference Aug. 13 to 15, the group said.
The conference, titled "Captive Solutions in a Changing World," will be held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Burlington, Vermont. The sessions provide continuing professional education credit hours.
This year the conference will consider the changing captive insurance environment and explore real solutions to industry problems and issues, according to VCIA.
Seminars, designed for all levels of industry experience, will include such sessions as, "Tough Times Don't Last, Tough Captives Do"; "Investing for Changing Times" (basic level); "Property Risk in My Captive" (intermediate); "Alternative Lines of Business in Captives" (advanced); and, "State of the Insurance Market "(general).
Seminars, according to VCIA, will be led by more than 50 industry experts, both domestic and international.
Vermont is the largest captive domicile in the U.S., and the third largest in the world. VCIA, the association said, is the leading captive association in the United States, with attendance levels for the past several years totaling more than 800.
