AUGIE Agency Survey Launched
NU Online News Service, Jan. 2, 4:19 p.m. EST?The ACORD User Groups Information Exchange (AUGIE) announced today its launch of Agents' Survey, which it said is "a collaborative industry effort to determine what agents want out of their automation system and company partners today."
According to Pearl River, N.Y.-based ACORD, responses to the survey will assist in achieving greater efficiency in automation between agents, carriers and vendors.
Paul Peeples, director of technology, Florida Association of Insurance Agents, said, "This survey will assist vendors and companies in determining where agencies feel they need the most assistance in terms of their technology and management system interfaces. It will also help them to assess how they should spend their IT allowances for such projects."
The online survey for agents is now up and running and will be accessible through Feb. 1, ACORD said. It can be accessed by visiting www.ACORD.org/augie/survey.htm, or at the Web sites of national user group associations, agency management system vendors, several carriers, and national producer associations.
Results of this survey will be available in March, ACCORD announced. Agents interested in receiving the results should include their e-mail addresses when completing the survey. Insurance companies, vendors and all others interested in receiving the results should e-mail their requests to AUGIESurveyResults@acord.org.
AUGIE, noted ACORD, was established in August 2000 to gather information, to share ideas and to actively shape the future of the insurance industry through collaboration among ACORD, agents, brokers, insurers, vendors and associations.
