NU Online News Service, Jan. 21, 3:00 p.m. EST?Huntington T. Block Insurance Agency, Inc. announced it has launched a Web site providing insurance coverage and risk management information for museums, galleries, art dealers, artists and collectors.
Located at www.huntingtontblock.com, the new site is organized by the type of entity or individual seeking protection, the New York City-based agency said.
A museum director or registrar, for example, can click "museum" for an overview of special risks faced by museums, policies available to them as well as tips on controlling losses.
Jane Stapleton, Block's president and chief executive officer, said the site offers an online application feature and the ability to file claims. "In addition, we provide a direct link to the Art Loss Register, the largest private database of stolen and missing works of art," she said.
Huntington T. Block, a unit of AON Corp., said it offers clients a full range of business insurance protection. The agency said it works with A-rated carriers and holds the largest fine arts binding authority with Lloyd's of London.
