AAMGA Automation Confab Set For March

NU Online News Service, Jan. 14, 3:29 p.m. EST?The American Association of Managing General Agents in Kansas City, Mo. has scheduled an automation conference for March 6-8.

The meeting, entitled "Technology: Money Pit or Moneymaker," which targets MGA principals and technology leaders will be held at the Sheraton Buckhead, Atlanta.

The conference schedule includes two educational classes, which will be presented on Wednesday. They are:

? "Disaster Planning and Recovery," presented by Andrew Kantor, editor-in-chief of Technology Decisions Magazine, published by The National Underwriter Company.

? "Pink Slip Protection: Surviving the Loss of a Key IT Employee," presented by Tony Abena, chief operating officer and executive vice president of Techies.com, a site for IT employees and employers.

On Thursday and Friday, meeting attendees will be able to visit the Vendor Mart and Showcase, hear a keynote address about getting a return on technology investments, and attend a round table session with participants from companies, vendors and MGAs.
