RIMS is accepting nominations for Risk Manager of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding performance in the practice of risk management and will be presented at RISKWORLD 2026 in Philadelphia. Individuals must be a RIMS member in good standing if they are selected to receive this award. Submit a nomination for Risk Manager of the Year; Part I nominations are due by Saturday, Nov. 22.
RIMS presented the 2025 Global ERM Award of Distinction to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and to Türkiye SOCAR. PANYNJ’s ERM Manager Merline Barrington and SOCAR Türkiye’s Risk and Compliance Group Director Sadiq Hajiyev accepted the awards at the RIMS ERM Conference 2025 in Seattle.
In honor of Crash Responder Safety Week 2025, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Transportation Steven G. Bradbury, the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration joined transportation safety and emergency response organizations to commit to training one million responders and reduce roadway injuries and fatalities.
