The leaves are falling, a cool chill is in the air, and the NFL is on Sundays and Thursday and Monday nights. Autumn is in full swing, and with it comes our favorite part of the season: NFL insurance commercials.

OK, maybe it's not our favorite part of the season, but when you work so closely with the insurance industry, it is exciting to see who insurers are teaming up with to advertise during Sunday Funday. This year, insurers are keeping NFL fans entertained and informed with some funny and interesting commercials.

Here we feature four of our favorite NFL-insurance commercials that have been airing on TV this season. Are there any we missed? Let us know in the comment section below.

State Farm and Aaron Rodgers once again team up with classic Saturday Night Live characters (remember last year's “Discount Daaa-ble Check” commercial?). This time Hans and Franz (played by Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon) are on hand to pump Aaron Rodgers up — and remind NFL viewers about how it pays to “double check.” Check out the full-length 60-minute version of the commercial above.

There's something about that jingle, and NFL fans are hearing it a lot with this commercial featuring future Hall-of-Famer Peyton Manning. Have you started singing everyday tasks to its tune yet?

USAA featured some of the NFL's military families in one of its latest TV spots.

In case you didn't know: Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach won the Heisman Trophy while attending the U.S. Naval Academy, and after graduation he served in the Navy and served a tour of duty in Vietnam.

Former Super Bowl-winning NFL star and current Carolina Panthers Coach Ron Rivera was raised in a military family: his father was an officer in the U.S. Army.

Similarly, Washington Redskins' quarterback Robert Griffin III's parents are both Army sergeants. Griffin was born in Okinawa, Japan, where his parents were stationed, and lived in Washington state and Louisiana before eventually settling in Texas in 1997.

Geico has done it again with the “Ickey Shuffle” commercial this year. Featuring a former Cincinnati Bengals fullback who last played in 1991 in their commercial ran the risk of not appealing to younger audiences, but Geico made it work by having Ickey Woods do his notable endzone touchdown dance to a mundane, everyday task: being next in line to order cold cuts at the grocery store. Genius.
