The brother of the chief executive of insurance broker Marsh will lead Victor O. Schinnerer & Co., an underwriting manager of professional liability and specialty insurance programs.
Jonathan M. Zaffino, whose brother is President and CEO of Marsh, Peter Zaffino, will take over as president reporting to CEO Rob Byler. He will be responsible for leading U.S. operations.
Jonathan Zaffino has over 19-years of experience in the industry and is currently the leader of Marsh's U.S. Casualty Practice. He will remain in that position until July 1 when he joins Schinnerer. Before joining Marsh, he held senior underwriting positions at ACE.
Schinnerer-based in Chevy Chase, Md., serves more than 46,000 insureds in various specialty industries through independent insurance agents and brokers.
