Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp., hired two new employees. Andre Schehr was hired as commercial accounts executive and Hugh Devlyn joined the agency as a benefits producer at TGA Cross Insurance in the Wakefield, Mass., office.

Philadelphia Insurance Cos. announced the appointments of Ziad Kubursi to senior vice president of specialty lines and Karen Votta to president of large accounts for commercial lines.

Ascension Insurance Inc. appointed Miles Gurley to commercial account executive in the Greensboro, N.C., office. Gurley, who is responsible for developing loss control and insurance solutions for clients in the motor sports and construction industries, brings nearly 10 years of experience to Ascension and is a Certified Builders Insurance Agent.

Socius Insurance Services Inc. hired Michael Morman to serve as assistance vice president – property & casualty producer. 

 

New Programs

Travelers announced the enhancement of its Public Entity Management Liability policy, which provides limited special expenses coverage reimbursement for the replacement of key employees in the event of death or medical situation that results in retirement or resignation. 

 

Technology

Capital Insurance launched CIG Mobile, utilizing the company's iPhone and Android mobile apps for GameChanger. The app allows users to view vehicle coverage, display Auto ID Cards, request roadside assistance and track the status of a claim, among other features.

Nicholas Masi of Farmers Insurance Group was honored with the Chair's Distinguished Service Award at the New York Insurance Assn. Inc.'s annual conference.
