Validus Holdings Ltd. named Therese M. Vaughan, the former CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioner, to its board earlier this week.
Vaughan was CEO of the NAIC from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, she served as the Iowa Insurance Commissioner and is a past president of the NAIC. Vaughn holds a doctorate in risk and insurance and has held academic positions. She is the co-author of two college textbooks on insurance. Vaughn serves on the board Verisk Analytics, a provider of risk assessment services and decision analytics.
