RIMS awards Dan Houston, executive director of strategic risk management and learning at The McCart Group, the Harry and Dorothy Goodell prize, which recognizes an individual who furthers the goals of risk management through outstanding achievement.

Adam Kagan has been named chief sales and marketing officer at RiskMatch. Kagan brings more than 24 years of experience to the firm, and most recently served at CRC/Crump.

IIABA's Young Agent Committee awarded Josh Gilkerson with the Maurice Herndon Scholarship. Gilkerson is a life and health insurance agent at Fischer, Rounds & Assocs. in  Pierre, S. D.

Jim Ossner joined York Alternative Risk Solutions as vice president of sales. Ossner comes to the firm from Chubb Specialty Insurance and in his new role will develop new business in the alternative risk programs.

Monique Hesseling joined ACORD as vice president & chief standards officer. Hessling previously served Zurich General Insurance as global head of personal lines.

State Auto Financial hired Matthew R. Pollack as vice president, treasurer and chief accounting officer. Pollak also serves in these same positiosn with State Automobile Mutual Insurance Co. and State Auto Property & Casualty Insurance Co. Pollak brings ore than 25 years' experience in both public accounting and the property and casualty insurance industry.

 

Mergers & Acquisitions

AssuredPartners Inc., through its Neace Lukens subsidiary, acquired Kentucky-based Buckley & Co. insurance agency. Buckley & Co., which provides commercial insurance for small businesses, personal insurance, and life, health and employee benefits, will merge with the existing Neace Lukens Lexington branch. More than 10 Buckley & Co. associates will join Neace Lukens and remain in their current positions. Biff Buckley, current Buckley & Co. president, also will join Neace Lukens

 

New Programs

Hartford Steam Boiler launched CyberOne, a cyber risk insurance coverage for small businesses. CyberOne provides broad coverage with limits up to $100,000. It includes defense and liability coverage for certain lawsuits that allege third-party damage resulting from a failure by the insured to adequately secure its own computer system. CyberOne can be included as part of a business owners product (BOP) or a Commercial Multi-Peril (CMP) policy.
