PartnerRe Ltd. says its P&C business unit will be split into two teams to meet the needs of clients in mature and high-growth markets.
Christophe Renia has been promoted to the new position of Head of Mature Markets, P&C. Renia, with PartnerRe since 2009, formerly held the title of Head of Credit & Surety, Global Specialty Lines, for the company.
Additionally Salvatore Orlando has been promoted to the new position of Head of High Growth Markets. He was formerly Head of P&C Mediterranean Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Orlando has been with PartnerRe since 1998.
The changes take effect on May 1, and both teams will report to Emmanuel Clarke, CEO PartnerRe Global.
"These organizational changes reflect our focus on providing efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs and reinsurance-buying preferences of our clients," says Clarke.
As part of the realignment, Partner announces several other appointments.
Scott Altstadt has been promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer for all global business units. He was Chief Underwriting Officer for P&C Global.
Patrick Chevrel is now head of the newly formed Global Accounts team, which will provide "holistic reinsurance solutions to the company's largest worldwide clients," says PartnerRe. Chevrel was the company's Head of Specialty Property Lines.
Alain Flandrin, Head of P&C, is relocating to Singapore to lead the company's Asia Pacific platform.
