US Assure, a program administrator and insurance services provider, will launch an advanced billing and commission payment solution for insurance providers in late second quarter of this year. The solution features web-based self-service tools and offers billing, collection, and disbursement capabilities.
The new solution is one of many recent changes for US Assure, which changed its name from Zurich Insurance Services last year. The insurance company has a continuing relationship with Zurich as the exclusive program administrator for the Builders Risk Plan.
“As billing often represents the most frequent and sensitive customer interactions, advanced billing systems are crucial to insurance providers,” says Andy Ferguson, US Assure president. “Customers are now accustomed to highly efficient online billing applications that retail and other consumer-oriented industries provide, and they expect the same from their insurance provider. If providers don't keep up with technology, they run the risk of alienating and frustrating customers with antiquated billing processes.”
The new system, built on the MajescoMastek STG Billing platform, provides multiple billing options, including direct, wholesale, agency, and account bill. US Assure will also have the capability to offer insurance providers:
- Invoicing and collection of premium payments
- Custom branding of outputs (invoices, statements, etc.), payment portals, and other billing-related touch points
- Multiple payment method options, including electronic funds transfer (EFT) and standard check
- Customer service
Through the system, insurance providers will be able to pay commissions, provide online access of billing information to both agents and policyholders, and support multiple lines of business.
