Pat Speer Joins Aite Group's Insurance Practice

Aite Group announces the appointment of Pat Speer to a senior analyst position within the company's insurance practice, covering the business, technology, and regulatory issues affecting senior-level stakeholders within the P&C insurance sector.

An award-winning business professional with more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, Speer's broader experience includes over a decade of ancillary business-to-business communications, allowing her to study and report on software systems and senior management issues that apply to companies of all sizes across a variety of vertical markets. A frequent speaker at industry events, Speer founded several insurance technology solution provider awards and education programs, including Insurance Networking News' INNovators, Vanguards in Insurance Practices, and the Women in Insurance Leadership Program, where she continues to serve on the advisory board.

Speer is also an active volunteer with the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) and has served as a judge for IASA's Technology Achievement Award. At ACORD, Ms. Speer served on an educational advisory committee that supported the curriculum chosen for the standards organizations' annual ACORD LOMA Forum.

Prior to joining Aite Group, she served as editor-in-chief of Insurance Networking News and held leadership positions at a number of trade publishing organizations. In her early career, she worked at the agent level at State Farm Insurance and functioned as a claims processor at Aetna.
