Chris Cox, Deb Jansen, Lisa Murman and Ron Profaizer have been promoted to assistant vice presidents at the Main Street America Group. Additionally, the company has elected two new company officers: Nancy Palmisano and Michele Seymour. Both have been appointed as an assistant secretary of Main Street America.
Mississippi insurance commissioner Mike Chaney was inducted into the Mississippi State University Insurance Hall of Fame. Chaney has accomplished a great deal during his tenure as insurance commissioner, including recovering over $15.2 million for the citizens of the state, and recruiting over 140 new companies to do business in the state.
Jim Bichard was named London market insurance leader at PricewaterhouseCooper. Bichard is a partner with sixteen years experience at the firm. He is responsible for the firm's audit, tax and advisory lines of service.
Senn Dunn Insurance added Jennifer Taylor to the group of agnecy partner owners. Taylor joined Senn Dunn in 2006 as a business insurance account executive. She has over 28 years of insurance experience with expertise in assessing and handling risk management needs.
Nautilus Insurance Group appointed Wendy L. Markham to Senior Vice President/Chief Underwriting Officer. Markham joined Nautilus in 1986 and most recently served as vice president-underwriting general liability. She has over 25 years of industry experience, specializing in underwriting and product development.
New Programs
Markel launched a revamped tenant discrimination policy. Some of the new features include extended reporting periods, expanded definitions, and modified clauses and provisions.
Starr Aviation, a division of Starr Indemnity & Liability Company, has partnered with the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators and Redbird Flight Simulations to reward participation of insureds in the Pilot Proficiency Project. The project offers a series of seminars and simulator training scenarios that address common causes of general aviation accidents. Qualified Starr policyholders participating in seminars or simulator training will receive the benefits of the Accident Forgiveness Endorsement.
