The IASA Solution Provider Education Committee (SPEC) announces IASA will again host a special seminar, "Boot Camp+: Mastering the Art of Marketing & Selling to Insurance Companies," prior to the association's spring planning meeting, March 14 and 15, at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Ariz.
This year's seminar will feature new sessions based on industry and previous-attendee feedback, including "The Fundamentals of Insurance: What You Need to Know," followed by an interactive session, "The Insurance Game: An Introduction to Insurance Processes." The boot camp will begin at 7:30 a.m. local time on Thursday, March 14.
Additional sessions include a panel of insurance company CFOs, COOs, and CIOs who will profile buying processes and preferences; an hour-long discussion about the lifecycle of insurance companies; insights into how best to maximize your budget with the right marketing mix for this industry; and an audience participation session designed to test your ability to get your message across to your target audience. The afternoon will conclude with a networking reception for all attendees.
Sessions resume on Friday, March 15 at 7:30 a.m. and will end at 12 noon. Topics for Friday's sessions include a presentation on the social, mobile, analytics and cloud (SMAC) platform and how it applies to insurance, given by industry veteran Bill Hartnett; a session on social media in the insurance marketplace; and a moderated panel discussion on RFP responses, product gaps and partnerships, that will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with joint partnering, white labeling, and solution partnering.
By attending the Boot Camp+ seminar, insurance industry vendor professionals can take a hands-on approach to developing and presenting a compelling message, as experts in the field of sales and marketing walk through the payoffs and pitfalls. Registration for this event is $495 for individuals from IASA member and associate member companies.
Sales and marketing managers, business development managers and other interested professionals from vendor companies are encouraged to register at www.iasa.org/bootcamp, or contact Mark Roth, at mroth@iasa.org or for more information about the meeting.
