Lloyd's appointed Glenn Dorr as director of its American Northeast region. The region is one of four that opened in 2012 to reinforce Lloyd's commitment to its distribution partners. Dorr has more than 20 years of experience in standard and surplus line segments both nationally and overseas.

Debbie Murphy joined The Main Street America Group as the property-casualty carrier's vice president/head of personal lines product. She will be based at the company's headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla.

Zurich chose Isabelle Welton to succeed Isabelle Conner as group chief marketing officer. She joins Zurich from IBM, where she was a European management vice president, brand system. 

Truman Esmond was named senior director of customer engagement at The American Assn. of Insurance Services. Esmond comes from Red Door Interactive, where he served as managing director and director of quality and continous improvement. 

AmWINS announced several new hires: Christina Caputo joined the New Jersey brokerage in Edison as assistant vice president, Philip Carbone joined the Arizon brokerage as vice president, Brandon Sielen, a vice president at the Chicago office, transferred to the Phoenix, Ariz. office and Marty Miller joined the Georgia brokerage as vice president.  

David Moylan was appointed chairman of Marsh's new Global Surety practice. He has been with Marsh for 25 years, including 5 as the chairman of surety practice in Marsh's International divsion. 

Willis strengthened its Minnesota operations with the addition of Sharon Albrecht as senior vice president, commercial construction practice of Willis of Minn. She will be responsible for a team of client advocates and will work to expand Willis' Minnesota presence. 

 

Mergers & Acquisitions

Neace Lukens acquired Gosnell Insurance, a property-casualty agency in Charleston, S.C. The acquisition complements Neace Lukens' current office locations and product offerings.

Nielsen Benefits Group (NBG) merged with Digital Insurance. NBG will operate under the Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA) banner, a division of Digital. President and CEO Craig Nielsen and his staff joined forces with DBA to provide clients with enhanced offerings and support. 

 

New Programs

Personal Care & Assisted Living Insurance Center debuted a new division, Pet Protection Pak, which will provide affordable coverage for pet owners in all 50 states. Coverage will include protection from lawsuits arising from bites, attacks or destruction of property.
