David Christman was promoted to chief information officer for Oak Street Funding. He has more than 12 years of computer programming and data analysis experience and will oversee all aspects of Oak Street's IT infrastructure.

McSweeney & Ricci named Timothy Hall its executive vice president. He will oversee the agency's commercial lines operations.

Scott Valorose was hired as a safety management consultant for The MEMIC Group's Manchester, N.H. office. He has proved over 17 years of ergonomic- and safety-related consultative services in a variety of industries.

PCI chose Nathaniel F. Wienecke to fill the role of senior vice president of federal government relations. He recently served as vice president for global government relations with JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Stu Korn will join TAPCO Underwriters as marketing representative for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York's Hudson Valley. He will be responsible for business development and distribution.

The American Assn. of Insurance Services named Joan Zerkovich senior vice president of operations. She previously worked as chief information officer for ICAT Holdings and has more than 13 years of experience in professional information technology positions.

Thomas Harms was promoted to president of Insight Specialty Programs (ISP). He has served ISP since joining in 2009 and previously acted as senior vice president for Aon Benefield Fac's program division. ISP also appointed Michael DiLoreto to COO. DiLoreto has more than 30 years of industry experience.  

RISC Inc. announced two leadership appointments to its Programs division: Brad Drown, senior vice president of underwriting, has more than 35 years of industry experience; Shawn Fabors, chief sales officer and senior vice president of sales and operations, will oversee sales, marketing, carrier relationships and distribution.

Marsh chose Alice Cameron to fill the role of West zone leader of Private Client Services and Susan Ott as its San Francisto PCS office leader. The two have a combined total of 47 years of industry experience.

 

Mergers & Acquisitions

Ryan Specialty Group (RSG) reached an agreement to acquire Direct Group, an insurance services provider based in Doncaster, England and partner to Lloyd's insurer Jubilee. This will build on its third party administration capabilities and strengthen its offerings.  

 

New Programs

Willis Programs introduced an insurance solution for pizza delivery restaurants. PizzaGuard is a customized program which will include:

  • Non-owned auto liability covering the use of employee vehicles in the delivery process
  • Business Owners Policy with property and general liability
  • Enhanced food spoilage coverages
  • Off-premises power failure
  • Employment practices liability.

Barney & Barney's CEO, Paul Hering, was named "Director of the Year for Corporate Citizenship" by Corporate Directors Forum. which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professionalism in corporate governance.

The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. (PIANY) elected Michael Skeele president. He is president of Skeele Agency Inc. and served as PIANY's president-elect in 2011-12 and vice president of the government affairs and nominations committees. PIANY also named Leslie Rogoff committee chair of the year. She is the marketing manager for Madison Avenue Borkerage Corp. Alan Plafker is president-elect, Tony Kubera is first vice president; Eugene Sandy was re-elected vice president; John Parsons II was re-elected vice president; Michael Cracco is treasurer; Amy Bryan will serve as secretary. Richard Andrews, Michael Cracco, and Anthony Kammas were elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors.

The New York Young Insurance Professionals elected officers and directors: Gino Orrino, principal of Orrino Capital Services, will serve as president; Jennifer DeCristofaro, division manager of D.C. White Agency, will be president-elect; Diana Bruno will serve as vice president; Jason Bartow is treasurer; Adam Rostkowski will serve as secretary.
