Lockton announced the additions of Don Glazier, vice president and claims' council of Lockton Financial Services Practice, and Michael Schmitt, assistant vice president and account executive of the Global Technology and Privacy Practice, to its Chicago operation. Terry Brandt joined the San Francisco office as executive vice president and director of Lockton's Alliance for Ministry Protection practice (LAMP).
Richard Bateman and Greg Stenzhorn were appointed to Howden Insurance Brokers as part of its Energy division development. Both men have more than 30 years of experience in the industry.
Beacon Hill Associates Inc. appointed Bob Varnes to Senior Account Executive. Varnes has 35 years of industry experience. He will focus on increased production demands in Beacon Hill's brokerage division.
Kevin H. Brown, executive director of the CPCU Society, joined The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation as its executive director. Both organization leadership positions should compliment each other in terms of objectives and activites.
Marsh named Carmela Inneo head of its Hartford, Conn. office. She brings 30 years of industry experience to her new role and will be responsible for delivering Marsh's advisory and transactional services to clients in that area.

Norman-Spencer Agency Inc. acquired Keenan Marine Insurance Agency, an east coast-based specialty yacht insurance agency. Keenan clients will benefit from Norman-Spencer's national presence, service capabilities and wider array of marine insurance products.

Chubb Group of Insurance Cos. introduced coverage for small to mid-size healthcare organizations. The ForeFront Portfolio 3.0 includes eight optional coverages:

- Employment practices liability
- Fiduciary liability

- Kidnap, ransom and extortion
- Workplace violence expense
- Empoyed lawyers liability.
Healthcare organizations are often not prepared to fend off a data breach, which lead to hefty fines paid because of the Health Information and Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act. There has also been an increasingly large number of organizations filing fraudulent claims with Medicare and Medicaid. Chubb believes the new program will help offset costs related to these types of investigations, subpoenas or allegations.
BB&T Insurance Services expanded its online product offerings with the addition of supplemental unemployement insurance. IncomeAssure, the only supplemental unemployment insurance offering in America, allows clients to manage financial risks associated with job loss. Highlights include:

Vertafore announced the availability of ReferenceConnect with mobility. This enhancement allows industry professionals to access a mobile-optimized version of the online insurance research service in order to answer client questions outside of the office and stay compliant when assessing properties onsite. The software will eliminate wasted time spent looking through individual publisher and carrier sites or using search engines by helping users quickly find relevant subject matter.

The Institutes announced the recipients of its 2012 Andrew S. Frazier scholarships: Connor Bergeron is a 2012 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia. He recently joined The Hanover Insurance Group in Richmond, Va., as a middle market underwriter. Amy Strasburg is a 2012 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a cumulative GPA of 3.94. She began full-time employement with Lockton Cos. in Kansas City, Mo. after graduation.
Freberg Environmental Insurance (FEI) announced an agreement to underwrite environmental insurance coverage in partnership with Berkley Custom Insurance Managers. FEI is also enhancing its product offerings to include lender liability, general liability and stand-alone excess liability.
