A new mobile application from Trusted Choice makes it easier for clients to contact their independent insurance agent.

Designed for use on smartphones and tablet computers, the app provides consumers with the ability to keep an inventory of their insured personal possessions, document a car accident with photos, read consumer-insurance tips and communicate with their agent.

The app also includes a “find an agent” feature that helps consumers find a local Trusted Choice independent agent. A co-branded version with their logos can be customized for Trusted Choice agencies.

Developed by Project CAP in conjunction with the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America and Trusted Choice, the app is available in the iTunes store for use on iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads; and in the Google Play store for use on Android phones and tablets.

“The independent agents of America now have a real presence on consumers' phones and tablet computers,” Scott Deetz, Project CAP's CEO, says in a statement.

Consumers increasingly are turning to mobile solutions. Nearly half (46 percent) of American adults owned smartphones as of February 2012, according to the Pew Research Center.
