WRM America Holding Co. promoted William Malloy (email) to president. Malloy will manage WRM America and its subsidiary companies. William Fishlinger (email), founder of WRM America, will continue as chairman and will guide the company's strategic initiatives. Malloy has served as a WRM board member since 2008.
NationsBuilders Insurance Services (NBIS) named Bill Tepe (LinkedIn) president. He also serves as the chief financial officer for ProBuilders Specialty Insurance Co. and NationsBuilders Insurance Co. Tepe will manage NBIS and its subsidiaries. He has 35 years finance management experience, with 25 years in the insurance industry. Prior to joining NBIS, he was chief financial officer of American Safety Insurance Co.
Torus named Tim Harris (LinkedIn) its group chief financial officer, its board of directors and its executive committee. He will oversee the group's finance function as well as Torus's global delivery services team. Prior, Harris was deputy group chief financial officer and chief capital officer at Aviva.
New Day Underwriting Managers promoted Jeff Slivka (email) to chief operating officer. He will continue to perform his duties as executive vice president as well. Slivka will handle the day-to-day management of New Day's underwriting and broking operations, including the company's overall strategic direction.
Crum & Forster hired Steve Fomchenko as senior vice president of property. He will oversee the nationwide expansion of C&F's property operations. Prior, Fomchenko was global head of general property at Torus Insurance.
Aon Risk Solutions hired Michael Barbarita as managing director and executive vice president of the company's Pittsburgh office. Barbarita will provide risk management consulting and risk transfer support to Aon clients. He will also work closely with Aon Risk Solutions' industrial and materials practice. Prior, he led the Pittsburgh office for Marsh USA.

Work At Home Vintage Employees appointed Cynthia Hardy Young (LinkedIn) to its advisory board. Young is the former president of Encompass Insurance, a division of Allstate that sells personal lines products countrywide through 2 brands.
Zurich promoted Todd Cunningham (email) to head of strategic risk solutions for its global corporate in North America business. He will oversee the strategic direction and execution of the company's overall objectives. Prior, Cunningham was senior vice president and client leader for Zurich, where he led the company's integrated and structured solutions practice.
Golden Eagle Insurance, a Liberty Mutual Agency Corp. regional company, appointed Peter Wallick (LinkedIn) to regional vice president for the company's Mid-California region. Wallick will manage the growth of Golden Eagle's commercial lines and oversee underwriting, agency specialists, territory managers, customer service representatives and operational services. Prior, he worked for The Hartford for 25 years, most recently as regional vice president for its Denver office.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Black White & Assocs. of Louisville merged with Stoermer Insurance Services in Dayton, Ohio. Al Stoermer (email) and Ed Stoermer (email) are now owners of the agency. Troy Metts (email) and Heidi Elston (email) will remain through an indefinite extended transition period. Stoermer will take over all accounts in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.
Brown & Brown of Massachusetts, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, acquired certain assets of Richard W. Endlar Insurance Agency. Following the transaction, Richard W. Endlar Insurance Agency will continue to operate from its current location in Dedham, Mass., under the leadership of Howard Savitt (email), the company's sole shareholder. Savitt will also remain in charge of the operations of the Richard W. Endlar Insurance Agency division of Brown & Brown of Massachusetts.
Agencyport Software partnered with PilotFish Technology to provide integrated workflow solutions to the insurance industry. Under this value added reseller agreement, Agencyport will distribute PilotFish's integration products, including its XCS eiPlatform, to its P&C carrier customers. Agencyport also will bundle PilotFish's integration software with its products to simplify and expedite their implementation and integration with customers' systems at lower costs.

Beazley launched Beazley Breach Response, a new version of its current solution, tailored to meet the needs and budgets of smaller firms with revenues less than $10 million. BRR Select offers a combination of forensic, legal, notification, credit monitoring and call center services. It also provides for notification and credit monitoring for affected individuals (normally in the range of 25,000 to 250,000, though higher numbers can be covered). Admiral Insurance Co. introduced an updated policy for miscellaneous professional exposures. It includes 11 enhancements designed to meet the unique needs of the excess and surplus lines customers that Admiral serves.
Consumer Specialties Insurance Co. announced increased pollution liability protection as a part of its general liability insurance program. Brownyard Group won the ”Best Marketing Campaign” award from the Target Markets Program Administrator Assn. (TMPAA). Brownyard was recognized for their “Insurance When You Know Better” tagline and campaign. This win makes Brownyard TMPAA's first 2-time winner.
ACORD announced the launch of a new educational initiative called ACORD Knowledge Center. The goal is to provide industry participants with a knowledgebase of webinars, documents and classes. The current plan is to launch the webinar series in June 2012 and focus on unique implementations as well as specific topics including employee benefits, exposure reporting, telematics and eSignatures.
Crawford & Co. named Brandon Hylton (LinkedIn), a sophomore majoring in business administration at Morehead State University, as the 6th recipient of its Greg Threet Memorial Scholarship. Hylton will receive a $2,500 award. The Greg Threet Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Greg Threet, an assistant branch manager in Crawford's P&C office in Lexington, Ky.
