The Stingray system from Maximum Processing is highly configurable and able to meet the needs of individual clients, but one thing that makes it stand out—and worthy of a RAVE Award for p&c policy admin system—is it doesn't need to affect the core system or other clients, according to Sean Pitcher, president of Maximum Processing.
"The client doesn't have to wait for a release or a new version to be able to have new functionality or workflows," he says. "We have weekly client calls to ensure open communication and each client has a business analyst assigned to them as well as our technical people."
Maximum Processing's basic philosophy is to take everything that the company disliked in the software process and turn it on its ear, according to Pitcher. Some of the main points of that philosophy include: clients are allowed to cancel at any time without penalty; and the entire system is provided for the license, including interfaces so there are no add-ons or missing parts.
"When a new interface is added, clients are able to have it as part of their license," says Pitcher. "We have no limitation on users, premium, lines of business, or writing companies—the license is a site license so it is a fixed cost as clients grow."
Maximum Processing has a customer portal for its project management system that allows clients to see all of the work going on, the progress being made, and who is working on the system with the ability to change or set priorities.
"We also include a lot of additional functions as part of the license—imaging, workflow, business intelligence, and more," says Pitcher.
Pitcher explains that Maximum Processing's number-one priority is its commitment to its clients.
"We really focus on being a good partner," he says. "We want to have a long-lasting relationship with our clients and work to ensure that we deal fairly, openly, and honestly with them."
