With more than 100 customers, it's easy to see why CSC's POINT IN solution is popular among customers and worthy of first place among p&c policy administration systems for the RAVE Awards.
“We attribute the success of POINT IN to our growing customer community of more than 100 property & casualty carriers who use the function-rich technology and modern capabilities to achieve results,” says Gayle Herbkersman, director of carrier delivery and products for CSC.
Beyond the basic policy admin functionality, POINT IN supports an array of products, accelerates product development, pursues new market opportunities, enhances customer and distributor service, and improves internal workflow to improve business processes, according to Herbkersman.
CSC hosts multiple face-to-face meetings with its customers. Through its Innovation Community program, clients offer CSC direction on software development; leverage CSC's research, development and best practices; and share findings with the entire community.
“Through WikonnecT, our secure social collaboration network, customers provide feedback on solutions, prioritize improvements and interact with developers,” says Herbkersman.
POINT IN's browser-based software automates the value chain, integrating claims, billing and collections, and data reporting, explains Herbkersman.
“Last March, the Java version became generally available, with enhanced configuration tools to support end-to-end processing for all lines of insurance coverage enabling business users more flexibility in rolling out new products,” she says. “The Java version offers a new option that runs on the Microsoft Windows platform with a SQL Server database, in addition to IBM and Oracle/Sun Microsystems platforms.”
With a broad portfolio of software for the p&c industry, Herbkersman feels CSC continues to position its solutions for long-term value by offering a range of options that support the entire enterprise.
“POINT IN is designed for carriers of all types and sizes that need to modernize their processing environments to support growth, with components for policy administration, billing and collections, claims and reinsurance,” she says.
