The ability to enhance a carrier's relationship with current agents and attract new agents and brokers for increased business are aspects of the carrier/agency relationship that draw raves—and a RAVE Award—for CSC and its Agency Link product.
Agency Link can be integrated with any policy administration system, according to Gayle Herbkersman, director of carrier delivery and products for CSC.
“The system enables insurers to attract and retain top-producing, forward-thinking agents because it lets agents rate, quote, and issue new policies through an agency portal, their own agency vendor system, a comparative rater or a combination of channels,” she says. “Agents obtain immediate access to a wide range of customer service functions, such as managing renewals, entering a first notice of loss, tracking claim activities or making installment payments.”
CSC always looks for ways to improve its connections with customers as well as ways to make their business safer and more secure. That includes the establishment of the Insurance Cybersecurity Advisory Council in 2011.
The council allows insurers to “collaborate to promote development, awareness, and information sharing on best practices and technology strategies that mitigate the risk of cyber attacks on the insurance industry,” says Herbkersman.
CSC also hosts multiple face-to-face meetings with its customers in a variety of settings. Through its Innovation Community program, clients offer direction on software development, leverage CSC's research, development, and best practices, and share findings with the entire community, according to Herbkersman.
Hundreds of p&c insurance companies rely on CSC's industry expertise, software, and services to streamline and grow operations, explains Herbkersman. CSC's portfolio of assets includes insurance application software, a full range of consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing services, and an extended network of industry and technical alliances.
“Agency Link helps enable agents to more effectively sell and service p&c insurance policies, improving loyalty and retention through quicker response times and better service,” says Herbkersman.
