Agencyport Software, a provider of software and services to the global insurance and reinsurance industries, announces the release of BookSmart 2.4, the latest version of its automated solution for migrating entire books of business.
P&C insurance carriers currently use BookSmart across homeowners, personal auto, personal package, dwelling fire, commercial auto and workers' compensation for automated book rolling and data migrations from one policy administration system to another.
With the additional support for commercial property and general liability, Agencyport introduces BookSmart to the wider commercial lines carrier marketplace.
BookSmart 2.4 offers two profile reports and between 12 and 25 detailed reports per line of business, including reports for homeowners and personal auto.
Since its launch in 2007, BookSmart has enabled carrier staff to review book roll or policy migration files and add missing data needed for underwriting or adjust limits and other figures to their own slotting as required for rating, but the feature was limited to changing one data element at a time. With BookSmart 2.4 and the new QuickFix feature, carriers can set ad-hoc rules on a book-to-book basis and make multiple changes to multiple books of business at one time. The QuickFix data enhancement rules can then be saved as a template for re-use on future books.
“For those in underwriting or marketing looking to weed out the sub-standard policies from book rolls, or if you're trying to migrate in force and historical policy data from a legacy core system, there is no reason to spend a lot of your time doing it manually, trying to build your own tool, or using generic ETL software and building your own reports and analytics,” says Mason Power, head of marketing and product strategy for Agencyport. “With BookSmart you can select a product that is already commercially proven and has a deep product roadmap.”
In addition to adding support for new lines of business and adding new features, BookSmart 2.4 also enhances system performance and user experience with asynchronous archiving so that users can run multiple analytics simultaneously and with better managing of book uploads where not all of the files are immediately usable nor required.
Additionally, BookSmart 2.4 offers enhanced security and user authentication per the latest version of Agencyport's proprietary Common Security Interface (ACSI) specifications, which have been adopted in Agencyport's other distribution products including AgencyPortal.
