Heffernan hires assistant VP: Heffernan Insurance Brokers brought Anna-Liza Estoesta on board as assistant vice president. Estoesta's focus will be on mid-sized Bay Area business opportunities. She will be based out of the company's Palo Alto, Calif., office.
Safeco announces new leaders: The Safeco Insurance National Advisory Council elected two new leaders for 2012: Shane Tatum, president, and Jeff Ogard, vice president. Prior, Tatum served on the agent council for seven years, he is also CEO of Integra Financial Group. Ogard is vice president of personal lines at EHL Insurance.
IMA Kansas City expands by 15: The Kansas City branch of IMA, a subsidiary of IMA Financial Group, has added 15 people to its staff in the last year. Most notably, IMA created a new professional services group to provide professional liability coverage, primarily for architects, engineers and law firms.
EA names IIP head: Audit, tax and business advisory firm, EisnerAmper, named James (Jim) Mack to lead its Insurance Industry Practice. Mack also leads EA's Consulting Services Group.
Kessler opens new office: Kessler Alair has expanded to a new location in a Victoria Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., shopping district. The new office will employ more than 15 agents, dealing with policies from automobile and home to worker's comp and employee benefits.

Lukens acquires Sellersburg: Neace Lukens, an AssuredPartners company, now owns Jenkins Insurance Services, a Sellersburg, Ind.-based company. The acquisition will increase Lukens' reach throughout Indiana and expand its employee benefits practice.

JM/Burnham partners with Hartford: Effective immediately, JM Assocs. / Burnham & Co., a division of Hub International Northeast, announced The Hartford will be the general liability carrier for its National Elevator Program. JM/Burnham clients will still receive customer service from their existing account management team.
