BMS opens New York office: Independent broker BMS has opened an office in New York City, based on Park Avenue. Group CEO, Carl Beardmore, will now spend most of his time in the United States.
Willis Group relocates headquarters in Miami: Global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings will expand and relocate its headquarters to Brickell Avenue, Miami. The company said it hopes the move will drive growth.

Frank Crystal appoints new member of CIS group: Independent insurance brokerage firm Frank Crystal & Co. hired Gina Higgins as senior managing director of Commercial Insurance Services. Formerly, Higgins was executive vice president overseeing the National Middle Market Division and Client Advocate Practice at Willis Corp. She will now lead Frank Crystal & Co.'s National Middle Market Division.
Utica National hires SVP: Jose Trasancos was named senior personal lines officer and senior vice president of Utica National Insurance Group. Prior, Trasancos worked at Narragansett Bay Insurance Holdings.
