Zurich names head of distribution: Zurich promoted E. Randall Clouser to North American head of Distribution & Regional Management. Clouser will oversee distribution strategy and regional executives. He joined Zurich in 1996.
Willis appoints SVP: Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings, named Keith Jurss senior vice president, Professional Liability, Willis Construction Practice. Jurss will lead professional resources for North America within the construction industry. In addition, the company appointed John A. Connolly as Executive Risks Practice leader. Since 2009, Connolly has been the co-leader of the practice with Steve Pincus, who will continue to manage Willis' substantial Executive Risks operations in New York.
Philadelphia promotes 20-year vet: Philadelphia Insurance Cos. promoted Brian O'Reilly to senior vice president of marketing. O'Reilly has served Philadelphia for more than 20 years, most recently as regional vice president.
Lockton names three VPs: Laurel H. Nichinson joined Lockton in San Francisco as vice president and unit manager in the firm's Commercial Insurance Division. In addition, Karen Erger and Tom Miller joined Lockton Cos. in the Design and Construction Unit Erger joins as vice president, Director of Practice Management. Miller has been named senior vice president.
USI hires two: Mary Bishop has joined USI Insurance Services of Northern California Inc. in its Stockton office as an account manager in the employee benefits department. The company also has added Roxanne Myers as an account manager in the property and casualty department at the company's Stockton office.
Swett & Crawford opens Houston office: Swett Senior Vice President and property specialist John Konstantinidis has moved from Swett's New York office to head the company's new venture in Houston. The new office is located at 800 Town and Country Boulevard, Suite 300, Houston, TX 77024.
American College names ethics director: The American College has named Julie A. Ragatz its director of the Center for Ethics in Financial Services. In this position she will lead the only academic ethics center in country dedicated exclusively to studying the issues affecting the financial services industry and consumers.

Gallagher acquires Florida retail broker: Arthur J Gallagher, an Illinois-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, acquired Florida-based retail insurance broker Bushong Insurance Assocs. Bushong provides commercial property-casualty and risk management insurance services to clients primarily in Northeastern Florida.

Westfield launches new workers' comp program: Westfield Insurance has partnered with ReEmployAbility to offer WesWorks, a program that offers injured workers who are unable to return to their normal job duties the option to earn pay while volunteering time and service to the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, United Way, YMCA, food banks and other nonprofit agencies.
NFIB extends discounted workers' comp to MT: The National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) has extended discounted workers' compensation coverage benefits to small business members in Montana through Employers.
Markel announces new umbrella policy: Markel Corp. announced a new umbrella product for Allied Healthcare accounts. The product will serve as a lead umbrella policy over eligible Allied Healthcare lines such as hospitals, medical labs, pharmacies, surgery centers and clinical trials up to $10 million in capacity. Coverage is written on a surplus lines basis through Evanston Insurance Co.
Aon aligns with Global Excess Partners for bedbug coverage: Aon Risk Solutions has partnered with Global Excess Partners and Terminix to offer a bedbug insurance solution for hotels, landlords, student housing, corporate business and leisure travelers. The suite of products includes insurance to cover the cost of bedbug elimination, insurance to recover lost revenue, discounted rates for mattress encasements and bedbug kits, bedbug management practices and more.
Starr launches aviation coverage: Starr Aviation Agency, a member of Starr Cos., launched a personal non-owned offering for both renter pilots and flight instructors. The product is exclusively available online through Starr Aviation's StarrLink system.
Hanover unveils A&E coverage: The Hanover Insurance Group now offers Hanover Architects & Engineers Advantage. The coverage is available on an admitted basis for firms with annual gross billings up to $10 million.
Beacon Hill offers workers' comp for environmental contractors: PartnerOne Environmental, Beacon Hill Assocs' underwriting division, now offers workers' compensation coverage to a broader range of environmental contractors and consultants. PartnerOne Workers Compensation is available in the following states: AL, AR, CT, DC, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, NE, NM, NV, OK, PA, SC, TN, and VA. It can only be purchased if the insured is also securing other lines of coverage. Minimum premiums start as low as $2,500.
Zurich launches Demolition Select: Zurich, working with RISC, has launched a new program for demolition and wrecking contractors: Demolition Select. The program will help protect debris removal businesses, salvage operations, wrecking companies and businesses specializing in underpinning buildings.
