STEP Solutions LLC announced it is unveiling its new agency portal at the ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum in Las Vegas May 24-26.
Originally developed by Milliman, Inc. and acquired by STEP in 2008, the platform has undergone extensive modernization and has transformed into a modern platform that can provide a straight-through enterprise processing solution for the origination, issue, underwriting, policy administration and claim processing of life, annuity and health insurance products. The transformation has enabled the core business logic developed by Milliman to be delivered either as a service, a hosted solution, or as an installed platform.
The STEP platform provides a Web-based portal application infrastructure that delivers flexibility, functionality, and control for agencies, carriers, or third-party administrators. It enables legacy platforms to work with STEP and leverage the modern workflow, task management, reporting, security, and other features enabled by the portal.
STEP Agency Portal is an integrated agency management solution for independent broker general agencies and captive agencies. It is a Web-based portal that automates workflow between the agencies and carriers while providing straight-through processing capabilities for data validation and data capture during origination and agent appointment processes.
