The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) said it has launched a new online networking platform for RIMS members.
"RIMS Community," includes an enhanced member directory, allows members to blog, create peer networks and interest groups, share white papers and other documents, and other functions, RIMS said.
"We are excited to add this networking feature to RIMS online tools. This risk management-focused social networking capability connects RIMS members on a broader scale," said Mary Roth, RIMS executive director. "Members will find that RIMS Community provides an effective way to access information, solicit feedback and keep on top of the ever evolving world of risk."
Highlights of the RIMS Community include:
o A member directory for professional networking, finding peers and blogging on industry topics.
o eGroups for connecting and exchanging knowledge in 40 plus topical discussion groups.
o Resource library for sharing, viewing, rating, and commenting on files such as white papers, industry reports, risk management document templates, articles, videos and podcasts.
o Glossary, a wiki for searching and updating risk management terms.
