Zurich Financial Services Group said Mike Kerner, 43, was named chief executive officer of global corporate in North America, assuming a role held on an interim basis by Mario Vitale, the CEO of global corporate.
Mr. Kerner is currently global chief underwriting officer and head of group strategy. The company said he will be replaced by Inga Beale, 45, who is currently head of organization transformation and merger and acquisitions.
Both promotions become effective June 1.
The Zurich, Switzerland-based insurer is also naming former Goldman Sachs executive Christian Carl, 37, to head up the firm's group mergers and acquisition and group strategy as of June 1.
