SRS Expands Cayman Staff

Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS), a provider of captive management and consulting services, said it has added two captive professionals to its Cayman Islands team, Colin Robinson and Kristine Corella.

Mr. Robinson, who joins SRS as an Account Executive, has worked in the insurance and captive insurance industry, formerly a directors & offiicers underwriter and most recently with Marsh Management Services Cayman.

Ms. Corella, who joins SRS as a client accountant, has been an Audit Associate with Deloitte.

Ron Sulisz, director, SRS (Cayman) said, “With the addition of Colin and Kristine as well as Michelle McTaggart and Courtney Flynn, who joined us last year, we have developed a strong team in response to the growth we have experienced.”

He added that by the end of March 2009 the staff will include nine experienced managers and CPA's, “giving us a very low client to employee ratio; echoing our commitment to service and capacity for growth.”

“2008 was a very strong year for SRS in Cayman” said Seamus Tivnan, director SRS (Cayman) Ltd. “The growth we experienced is validation of our business and operating model.”

According to figures released by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, for the second year SRS was the fastest growing captive manager in Cayman, adding 16 new captives during 2008, including four new formations. The growth places SRS as the sixth largest manager in Cayman in terms of numbers of captives under management, “having leap-frogged Kensington Management and Willis Management during the year,” SRS said.

SRS is an independent captive management firm with representation in all major onshore and offshore domiciles. It provides financial reporting, regulatory compliance and underwriting management services to existing and prospective captive insurance companies. SRS started operations in the Cayman Islands in 2004.
