Highline Data today announced that it has released key financial data for 2008 for many of the property-casualty insurance companies that ranked among the top 100 in 2007 based on net written premium.

The first rollout of 2008 annual statutory data from Highline Data, through its online product Insurance Analyst PRO, came within hours of the first release of 2008 annual statements from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, said Highline Data, an affiliate of National Underwriter.

Included in the March 2 release is data from annual statement pages for assets, liabilities, income statements, cash flow, investments, underwriting data, as well as the “Five-Year Historical Data” page, and the state pages (“Exhibit of Premiums”).

Highline noted that some companies have not yet filed their data with the NAIC. Key data for additional top 100 companies that file after March 1 will be made available on a rolling basis, with full data delivery coming the week of March 9, when a larger universe of company data will be released by the NAIC, Highline Data said.

According to data released by Highline so far for the companies that have filed, the top 25, ranked by 2008 net written premiums, are as follows:

Not included in the release are several members of American International Group, Safeco and Farmers.

A complete list of pages available for all of the individual companies that filed prior to Feb. 28 is available to subscribers who login to Insurance Analyst PRO.
