Risk Reducers LLC, a division of Swett & Crawford, is introducing Truckers Accident Program, an occupational accident transportation program.
The program addresses incidence of job-related injuries suffered by independent truck drivers who are not covered by workers' compensation. It is available through Swett & Crawford's carrier partner, AIG.
Coverage is for on-the-job injuries for owners and operators or contract drivers who are leased to motor carriers and trucking firms. This modular coverage includes a range of benefits, including lump sum death benefits, survivors' benefits, medical coverage, income benefits up to a maximum of $500 per week, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage. Contingent liability may also be written for a group of ten or more owners and operators leased to a motor carrier.
