The Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc. said the group will host a “Get Real-Time” symposium to help insurance agencies explore new technologies.

PIANJ said it expects more than 100 agency representatives to attend the April 17 event at the Clarion Hotel & Towers, Edison, N.J.

The session will be moderated by Steve Anderson, creator of The Automated Agency Report, and feature demonstrations of real-time transactions showing actual inquiry/response transactions and real-time, multiple-carrier rating.

Scheduled speakers include: Carolyn J. Durland, AUGIE facilitator and manager; Dave Acker, senior vice president, and Nellie Massoni, integration product specialist for AMS Services; Doug Johnston, executive vice president, Interface Services for Applied Systems.

PIANJ said during the presentations agents will team up with management-system vendors to demonstrate the actual real-time inquiries with participating agency carriers. Participants will see which real-time comparative rating systems are available in New Jersey and how they work.
