Etched in Time, a privately held Arizona-based corporation, recently demonstrated technology that is capable of detecting water leaks in a structure and automatically stopping flow at the main water valve.

The technology, referred to as No-Flood Systems, consists of wireless sensors that are distributed throughout a commercial or residential property without the need for expensive hard-wiring. The system is supposed to help reduce the $3 billion in water damages that occur each year in the U.S.
